Bio:

Vanessa Carvalho is a partner at Miguel Neto Advogados and a highly experienced professional in Labor and Social Security Law. She built a distinguished career in Big Four auditing and consulting firms, where she led strategic projects for major companies across the industrial, retail, and services sectors. Throughout her trajectory, she has played a key role in developing and structuring departments, implementing methodologies, and building high-performing teams for both national and global mid-sized and large companies.

With deep expertise in labor and social security tax matters, Vanessa has led complex corporate compliance projects, including M&A processes, payroll tax assessments, union negotiations, cost optimization, internal controls, HR policy implementation, and corporate restructuring support. Her strategic approach also extends to tax accounting for labor and social security matters, workforce management, and labor litigation risk assessment.

Vanessa is recognized for her technical mastery of labor and social security tax legislation, with a strong accounting perspective. She is an active member of the Labor and Social Security Law research groups at Largo São Francisco (GETRAB-USP and GETRAB-PREV-USP) and has been involved in the pilot working groups for e-Social and EFD-REINF since 2009.
