In December 2023, Diamante Energia, created in 2017 to manage the Jorge Lacerda Thermoelectric Complex in the state of Santa Catarina and currently expanding rapidly throughout Brazil, entered into an agreement with Copel and Carbonífera do Cambuí to acquire Carbocampel, a company in the state of Paraná that holds mining rights. After fulfilling the conditions precedent, the transaction was successfully concluded, although its value was not disclosed.
